Born more than 50 years ago, Manusa is a successful privately-owned Spanish company that has grown to become a leading company in creating, designing and developing all types of intelligent accesses. We have several national offices and we also have an international presence with branches in Portugal, Brasil and China. Our main objective is to provide equipment and solutions in the Intelligent Access space thanks to our own technology developed in-house.

What we do in the Embedded Electronics team

Within the R+D+i Department, the main tasks of the Embedded Electronics team:

• Development of embedded control and power electronics for motor and system control boards
• Development of embedded communications for industrial and IoT connectivity
• Development of HMI and other specialty embedded electronics
• Support existing designs in production–sustaining

What the role is

In this role you will:

• Play a senior role in the Embedded Electronics Team
• Lead role in innovation projects in-house and with external partners
• Have a technical hands-on design role with focus on embedded FW development
• Bring significant experience to the team that helps elevate the quality of work

The successful candidate must have

• Bachelor/Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Significant hands-on experience doing projects solo or as part of small teams
• Basic understanding and experience in embedded SW modeling and architecture
• Solid fundamentals in embedded SW development and testing tools/processes/best practices
• Good understanding of ARM-based MCUs/MPUs and digital electronic HW, as well as of low-/high-level embedded communications HW operation and implementation
• Some understanding of power electronics: motor inverters, power supplies, and battery management
• “Bare Metal”, RTOS, and Linux embedded development FW hands-on experience
• Thorough understanding of C language
• Development of low-level drivers and libraries
• Embedded communication FW operation and implementation
• Some exposure to IoT MQTT and HTTP/REST networking protocols
